In search of simplified IT support

Bayerischer Rundfunk’s modern IT landscape ensures its media offerings are available around the clock. Even minor disruptions to its complex network could lead to massive TV, radio, or web service interruptions. Therefore, BR required an experienced and reliable support partner that could cover Microsoft, its focus manufacturer, and also provide a dedicated contact person and services around the clock to address any sudden IT problem. In addition, any new support contract had to be cost-effective, and much more flexible than the software manufacturer’s preceding contract.

Comprehensive coverage with just one support contract

The decisive reason to collaborate with SoftwareONE through its MultiVendor Premium Support contract was the possibility of covering the full Microsoft support offering and an additional nine software vendors via a single contract. The Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation is assured a dedicated contact person across all vendors. The Service Delivery Manager provides regular reporting on the status of all current projects and tickets, as well as the available budget. Flexible controls enable BR to respond spontaneously to operational issues, such as high-priority incidents, without defining them precisely in advance of the contract agreement.

We very much appreciate SoftwareOne's MultiVendor Premium Support offering. Thanks to this cross-vendor service, we can always rely on stable IT operations. Even short-term project support for M365 was realized quickly and without complications.
