We recently informed our customers about Microsoft’s recent price increases and changes to the CSP program. You might still wonder how these changes will impact your specific situation and what you can do to benefit from them. In this blog, we recommend the best route going forward.
Let’s start with a short refresher on the changes. First, the commercial pricing for some Microsoft 365 cloud products will increase. Second, involves the “New Commerce” for CSP seat-based offers. New Commerce introduces several significant changes to the existing CSP program. Both these changes will be effective on March 1st, 2022, which allows you enough time to understand how your company may be impacted and to research your options.
In most circumstances, our analysis confirms that the CSP contract is still the most cost-effective route and customers will not need to move to a different type of contract to purchase Microsoft 365. However, customers could still be impacted by the announced price increases for Office 365 and Microsoft 365 subscriptions.
The price increase and changes to the CSP model will go into effect March 1st, 2022. That means that the old model and pricing will still be available until February 2022.
