SoftwareOne Introduces Copilot Lab Demo Sessions in Benelux
SoftwareOne, an international provider of software and cloud technology solutions, is introducing Copilot Lab in the Benelux. Copilot Lab is a secure test environment for Copilot, the AI-driven assistant within Microsoft 365. With this, SoftwareOne responds to the need of Copilot users to test the AI assistant extensively, without having to use their own data and with attention to privacy and data protection.
"The arrival of Copilot Lab in the Benelux is in line with the increasing demand for a secure test environment for the software," says Madeleine van de Rotten, Team Lead Digital Workplace at SoftwareOne Netherlands. "Microsoft does not offer this option itself and advises organizations to experiment with this in practice. This is not always possible or self-evident because organizations often do not have enough usable data or because they do not want to practice with their own, possibly sensitive, data. Copilot Lab's controlled test environment offers the solution for this and helps users discover Copilot efficiently."
Experiment safely
The digital environment mimics a realistic working environment and is filled with fictitious data that can be experimented with extensively. Copilot can be used in various Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, Word, or Teams, but many customers are only familiar with some of these applications. During the workshop, they will get to know the various functions of Copilot in their entirety and discover how the digital assistant can optimally help with everyday tasks. In addition, a lawyer specializing in AI tools answers questions about data protection, liability, intellectual property, copyright, and sector-specific regulations.
Prompts
Using Prompts Copilot successfully requires the necessary skills and knowledge. "For example, Copilot's output is highly dependent on the prompt that users enter," says Van de Rotten. "The input goes beyond entering a few keywords, as is the case with a search engine like Google. Without the right prompts, the software will not deliver the desired results. We focus on a broad audience, including not only IT professionals, but also business and senior management. The influence of Copilot is far-reaching within organizations, so managers also need to get to know the impact of the software. Sometimes there is resistance from users, who think it is dangerous to unleash an AI assistant on sensitive data. My advice is: research applications such as Copilot thoroughly and critically but be open to it. That's where the Copilot Lab comes in."
